High performance computer scientists (Dr Daniel Moetski, Dr Krishna Govender, and Mr Sakhile Masoka) from CHPC in South Africa delivered the computer training to 59 students from the AVN partner countries. This was the second round of training that took place at two sites:  

• GSSTI in Ghana, 29 April to 3 May 2019, 20 students from Ghana and Kenya​​.

• HartRAO in South Africa, 06 to 10 May 2019, 39 students from Botswana, Mozambique, Madagascar, Namibia and Zambia.

The students were equipped with technical computer skills required for big data processing and high performance computing.
