DARA Training Opportunites
DARA funds a number of training programs for different career stages for early career scientists based in the African Partner Countries (APCs). Click on the links to find out more about them!

The Basic Training Programme is for graduates in physics or another relevant discipline undergo basic training in radio astronomy, delivered in four intensive, two- week units. Applications for the next round of the Basic Training Programme are now open. Apply here by 19th April 2026 at 23:59 (BST).
The Advanced Training Programme is to fund MSc students.
The Postdoc Fellowship Programme is new for 2024! We have up to 12 Fellowships available for people who already hold a PhD to undertake research at an institute within one of the DARA APCs.
